Turning 65 This Year?

If you're turning 65 this year, you will not be alone. Considering 80 million Americans were born between 1946 and 1964, there are 10,000 folks per day reaching this landmark age in our country. Simply put, the Baby Boomers have arrived at Medicare.

And your birthday is no secret. You have probably already filled your recycle can at least once with all the junk mail you're receiving about Medicare and the insurance products designed to support it. Most of these target only one product, and most likely leave you with more questions than answers:

Do I need a Medicare Supplement? What does it cover that Medicare doesn't?

Do I need a Medicare Advantage plan? How is it different from a Medicare Supplement?

Which one is best for me?

Will the combination of a Hospital Indemnity Plan and Medicare Advantage Plan cover most, if not all, of the costs of my hospital and/or short term nursing home stay?

What do I do about the Part D prescription drug plan?

How do I know which drug plan will cover my prescriptions?

So why should dealing with Higher Ground for your Medicare needs be any different?

There are a couple of answers to this very important question.

First, I represent all the Medicare product lines that you will choose from. If you are talking with someone who only sells Medicare Supplement products, then you will only hear about benefits of such a plan.  If you are talking with someone only marketing Medicare Advantage programs, then you are only going to be introduced to how these work.  I will give you enough information to compare the two types of plans and decide which one works best for you.

Second, I will help you determine which Part D Prescription Drug Plan will cover the largest number of your prescriptions. I will do this by asking you for a list of medications you are taking, and then doing the research on all the PDP plans available in your county. This means I might even recommend a plan I don't represent, but I want you to have the right one.

And third, I will do this during a one-on-one meeting with you, at a time and location of your choosing. You will not be corralled into a meeting room at a local restaurant, listen to a generic presentation that again only focuses on one product, and then pressured into making an impulse decision.  I wouldn't want to be treated this way, so therefore I refuse to treat my clients as such.

Bottom line: You need a complete strategy designed by an educated financial professional – not a policy purchased from a policy peddler.

I have been in the insurance and financial services business for 32 years now, all of them right here in eastern North Carolina. (I was born in Clinton, live in Fayetteville, and spend vacation time at Holden Beach pretty much every year.)

I have several hundred clients who trust me, just as I am asking you to trust me. You need a trusted Financial Services Professional guiding you through your choices. The decision on what to do about Medicare is that important.

Regulations prevent me from calling those folks turning 65 (meaning that those phone calls you are getting are violations), nor would I want to bother you if you aren't interested in my services or already have a Financial Services Professional you trust.

However, if you need help in this tremendously important decision (and even if you have already signed up for a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage), please call me at 910-391-5876, or email me at donaldbeard@financialguide.com. Just for responding, I will complete a complimentary prescription drug analysis for you which you can use in choosing a Part D Prescription Drug plan.

I would be honored to be of service.
