Our Qualifications

Don Beard began in 1984 as an agent in Fayetteville, North Carolina for IOF Foresters.



Over the next 15 years, he served as Agent, Supervisor, Sales Manager, District Manager, Regional Manager, and Director of Agencies; his territory covering 31 offices in 10 regions from Boston to Miami to Dallas.

In 2000, he became Minister of Administration for Village Baptist Church in Fayetteville; and served for three years during which a ten million expansion program was completed.

In 2003, he founded Higher Ground Insurance and Financial Services so that he might provide to clients of the practice comprehensive and systematic financial solutions.

Don holds the following designations:

Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), completed in 1995.

Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), completed in 2004.

Chartered Advisor Senior Living (CASL), completed in 2010.
